Our 20-bedroom House offers lodging to patients & their families while receiving treatment at a Charlotte medical facility.

Referral process & how to stay at the House

Guests must be referred by medical staff using an official HHOC referral form. Admission is based on house availability & referral requirements.

Accommodations

Each private room includes the following:

  • Private bathroom
  • Sheets, blankets, & pillows
  • Bath towels, wash cloths, & bath mats
  • Television

Guests also have access to the following communal amenities:

  • Fully equipped kitchen
  • Pantry staples
  • Communal refrigeration
  • Free Wi-Fi
  • Washers/Dryers
  • Complimentary laundry supplies

Cost to stay

Hospitality House of Charlotte charges a nightly rate of $50 (+tax) for a standard room. Guests are expected to pay prior to each night’s stay.  Financial assistance may be available in certain cases. Note, financial assistance availability varies and is not guaranteed.

Parking & transportation

Complimentary parking is available in a nearby parking deck for guests. Atrium Health (Carolinas Medical Center) and Novant Health (Presbyterian Medical Center) provide complimentary transportation to and from the hospitals 7 days a week.

House rules

We are unable to house guests who are disruptive or display aggressive behavior that may be perceived as a threat to other guests, volunteers, or staff. Alcoholic beverages, illegal drugs, and weapons are prohibited on our property. HHOC is a smoke-free facility, this includes electronic smoking devices. Guests will receive detailed house policies upon confirmation of their room.

Food & dining

We are fortunate to have wonderful companies, churches, civic groups, and individual volunteers provide meals for our guests periodically. Guests are welcome to bring personal food items that can be stored and prepared in our communal kitchen.
