“After a rough day of staying at the hospital, it is such a relief to go back and enjoy a free dinner and conversation with others.”

Elaine Steading | Guest

During their five-week stay at the House, Elaine and Steve Steading found comfort in the dining room. Through the Meals that Heal program, they were able to build relationships with other families in medical crisis, all while not having to worry about where their next meal would come from.

Guests call our kitchen the ‘heart of the House.’ This is where experiences are shared and bonds are formed, which is why offering daily meals is a vital part of HHOC’s mission. Hospitality House is committed to offering daily meals for guests, which equates to 750 meals a month or 9,000 meals a year.

Dedicated volunteers can provide some meals throughout each week but they may not be available every day. Your gift will ensure our meal calendar stays full. Additionally, your contribution will help keep HHOC’s kitchen stocked with pantry staples, fresh fruit, and grab-and-go breakfast items. Medical journeys can often turn into financial hardships. That’s why, something as simple as a meal, can go a long way.

Will you help to provide meals for guests facing medical uncertainty? Your contribution will reduce the burdens for guests by providing the comforts of home.
